Texas sales tax amnesty
This was a limited-time program approved by a state’s legislature and administered by the state agency responsible for administering and enforcing the state’s tax laws, (e.g. Comptroller). The program gave taxpayers an opportunity to can come forward voluntarily and satisfy their delinquent tax obligations in exchange for certain benefits, such as an abatement of penalties and some or all of the interest owed.
